A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR AN ORDINANCE
AMENDMENT TO THE M-1, M-2 DISTRICTS (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL, HEAVY
INDUSTRIAL) PRINCIPAL PERMITTED USES AND STRUCTURES
Whereas, The City realizes that the principal permitted uses and structures listed in the
M -1,M-2 districts are not an all-inclusive listing of possible uses and structures, and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that it is in the best interest of
the City to have an accurate listing of uses that reflect those uses;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set a
public hearing for this Ordinance Amendment for March 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
On the 8th day of March, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Kahler introduced Resolution No. 2016-018, A RESOLUTION
SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO THE M-1,
M-2 DISTRICTS (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL, HEAVY INDUSTRIAL) PRINCIPAL
PERMITTED USES AND STRUCTURES and made a motion for approval. Motion
seconded by Councilperson Havens.
Ayes: Upton, Bartels, Havens, Ryan, Kahler
Nays: None
Absent: None
Whereupon Five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2016-018, A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO THE M-1, M-2 DISTRICTS
(LIGHT INDUSTRIAL, HEAVY INDUSTRIAL) PRINCIPAL PERMITTED USES AND
STRUCTURES to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his
signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 8th day of March, 2016.
