CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Mayor Smith called the meeting to order in the Valley County Courthouse and advised that the purpose of the meeting was to meet jointly with the Valley County Board of Commissioners regarding the 9-1-1 system. Councilmen VanKomen, Larson and LeBrett answered the roll call. Councilman Wallace was absent. II. VALUED, INC. PRESENTATION Cutler Umbach was invited to make a presentation on the "Resource Management Group" activities which is intended to coordinate the activities of various public land management agencies in the County. At the conclusion of the presentation, Umbach asked to meet with the joint meeting of city and county officials once per quarter. The group then scheduled February 10 in the Donnelly Fire Hall as the next appearance for the group before the intergovernmental meeting. III. IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION BOARD MEETING, NOVEMBER 19: The Board requested a meeting with the McCall City Council on November 19 at 8 a.m. in the Council Chambers. (Subsequently, this meeting was scheduled for November 20.) Larson moved to schedule a special meeting on November 19 to meet with the Transportation Board at 8 a.m. VanKomen seconded and the motion carried. IV. MCCALL WATERWAY COMMISSION GRANT, 1989: Commissioner Olson inquired of a letter from the State Department of Parks and Recreation. The City Administrator responded and was asked to respond in writing, as requested in the letter, and to copy the County Commission with his response. 1/ 107,-- 03a itIVOR V. 9-1-1 The Valley County 9-1-1 Advisory Committee was introduced and the budget, the activities of the program to date, and the organizational arrangements for operating the center were discussed. The discussion included observations that criminal history information needed to be managed by a law enforcement agency, the make-up of an advisory board and its powers and duties, budget details and future allocations of costs to the participating agencies. After discussion, it was agreed that the 9-1-1 Advisory Committee would work with the Prosecuting Attorney to draft a memorandum of understanding for signature by all participating agencies outlining the powers, duties, authority and membership of the Committee. The members of the Council toured the facility with Mr. Hall and Mr. Flagan. VI. NEXT MEETING DATE AND ADJOURNMENT: The Committee set its next meeting for December 9, 1992. Van Komen moved to adjourn. Larson seconded and the motion carried.
