The Council of the City of Medina met in Special Session on November 15, 1978 at
8:06 p. M.
Members present: Mayor, Wayne Neddermeyer, Council Members: Arthur Theis,
William Reiser, Nancy Laurent, Assistant Clerk, Sylvia Rudolph
Member Thomas Crosby arrived at 8:53.P. M.
1. SPRINGER LAND DiV'iSION
Richard Marklund, Howard B. Detloff, Lowell M. Mikkelson requested changes in the
Development Agreement in the Deerhaven Division. The City recognizing potential
liability, requested a gold Harmless Agreement as long as it is not city property.
Motion by William Reiser, seconded by Arthur Theis to adopt Resolution 78-42.
Motion declared carried.
2. ASSESSORS
Mr. G. Wm. Dredge, City Assessor from Savage and Mr. J. A. "Jerry" Trapp were
introduced to the council and were given a copy of their resumes.
Thomas Crosby arrived at 8:53. P. M.
Discussion followed as to what level of assessment we required and the quality
of the job to be performed, and if this could be accomplished by January 1st.
Tom Crosby and Nancy Laurent both agreed that the fee charged would be for
assessing requirements only, with no office hours, also to attend some meetings
during the assessing time. Tom Crosby stated that he would check Mr. Dredges
references with the City of Savage and Wayne Neddermeyer would check Mr. Trapps
references. Final decision as to the hiring of an assessor will be made at the
November 21st, 1978 Council Meeting.
Motion by Bill Reiser, seconded by Arthur Theis to adjourn.
