MCCALL CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING
April 4, 1994
I. CALL TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order by the chair
at 4:00 pm. Martens, Killen, Colton and Arp answered the
roll call. Eckhardt was excused. Mayor Martens declared
that a quorum was present.
II. CITY MANAGER SELECTION. The members of the council reported
on the references checks for their assigned candidate as
follows: Arp - Candidate Schilling; Colton - Candidate
Hauser; Killen - Candidate Schmidt; Martens - Candidate
Bernhardt. Additionally, City Treasurer Henderson passed on
the report by Eckhardt on Candidate Shimun.
After discussion Killen moved to interview all five
candidates and to bring them to McCall at City expense on
April 29th for a meeting with the staff on April 29th,
interviews on April 30th, and an open forum the evening of
April 30th. Martens seconded and the motion carried.
Mayor Martens instructed staff to notice a special meeting
for the interviews on April 30th in executive session and to
further notice a meeting at the open forum also on April
30th. The Mayor further instructed staff to place on the
April 14th adgenda, the renewal of the arrangement with the
interim City Manager.
III. ADJOURNMENT. Without further business, Colton moved to
adjourn. Killen seconded and the motion carried. The
meeting was adjourned at 5:30 pm.
