A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AGREEMENT FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR THE REVITALIZE IOWA'S SOUND ECONOMY PROGRAM
(RISE) PROJECT
Whereas, The Villages LLC, has partnered with the City of Tiffin for the extension of
Villages Drive, and;
Whereas, the Iowa Department of Transportation has granted the City of Tiffin a
Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) Grant (Project No: RM -7662(611)--9D-52 and
Iowa DOT Agreement No: 2016-R-014) for the extension of such road in the amount of
$1,578,680;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to accept
the Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) Grant and proceed with the agreement
signified by the Mayor's signature.
On the 22nd day of March, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced Resolution No. 2016-022, A RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING AGREEMENT FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR THE REVITALIZE IOWA'S SOUND ECONOMY PROGRAM
(RISE) PROJECT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson
Upton.
Ayes: Kahler, Ryan, Havens, Bartels, Upton
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
WhereuponFive Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2016-022, A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING
AGREEMENT FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE
REVITALIZE IOWA'S SOUND ECONOMY PROGRAM (RISE) PROJECT to be
adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 22nd day of March, 2016.
