McCall City Council
Special Meeting
Monday, November 7, 1994
I. Call to Order and Roll Call.
The meeting was called to order at 11:30 AM, Monday, November 7, 1994. Mrs. Arp and
Messrs. Martens, Killen and Colton answered the roll call. Mayor Martens declared that a
quorum was present. City staff in attendance were City Manager Shimun, City Attorney Burton
and City Clerk/Treasurer Henderson. Mr. Eckhardt arrived at 11:40 AM.
IL Local Option Tax.
The council continued its discussion of local option taxes. Mr. Killen pointed out that a general
sales tax applied to tax relief may benefit absent property owners more than local residents. Staff
was directed to determine the effect on property taxes for representative property owners and to
report back.
IlL Long Range Planning Work Session.
Mr. Shimun suggested that the process begin with reports from the various departments in order
to gain an understanding of what services are currently being provided and to what level. After
discussion, staff was directed to prepare such reports. Mr. Shimun was directed to present a
format for the reports at the November 10, 1994 meeting.
IV. Waste Water Treatment - Maid Alternative.
The council continued its discussion of the selected alternative. Mr. Shimun report that
negotiations with the Makis had begun. The council took no action.

Without further business, Mr. Martens moved to adjourn. Mr. Eckhardt seconded and the motion
carried. The council adjourned at 12:45 PM.
