McCall City Council
Special Meeting
Monday, May 8, 1995
Call to Order and Roll Call
1. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Martens at 11:30 AM.
2. Messrs Colton, Killen and Martens and Mrs. Arp answered the roll call. The mayor declared
that a quorum was present. Staff members present were City Manager Shimun, City Attorney
Burton, City Clerk -Treasurer Henderson, and Recreation Director Baker.
Long Range Planning - Recreation Department
3. Mr. Baker gave a report of the Department's programs. The council requested that Mr. Baker
provide revenue and cost data for each program.
4. Tomi Grote, Committee Chair of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee described some
of the revenue enhancement ideas being considered by the committee. Mrs. Grote described the
spring parks cleanup project.
Evaluation of City Attorney
5. Mr. Shimun provided a document describing various methods of evaluation. Council agreed to
review the evaluation form and report back at the May 1lth meeting. Staff was directed to
review the pros and cons of in-house vs contracted legal counsel.
Adjournment
6. There being no further business Mr. Martens moved to adjourn. Mr. Eckhardt seconded and the
motion carried unanimously. The council adjourned at 1_00 PM.
