RESOLUTION NO. 93 -3289
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE CALIFORNIA USED
OIL RECYCLING BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM TO FUND USED OIL
RECYCLING PUBLIC EDUCATION IN TEMPLE CITY
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Oil Recycling
Enhancement Act that provides funds to cities and counties for establishing and maintaining local used oil
collection programs that encourage recycling or appropriate disposal of used oil; and
WHEREAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Board is responsible for the
administration of the program within the state; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City recognizes the need for used oil recycling
public education and supports the City's participation in the California Used Oil Recycling Block Grant
Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
1. The City Council approves the filing of an application for the California Used Oil Recycling
Block Grant Program under the California Oil Recycling Enhancement Act for state grant
assistance to encourage recycling of used motor oil and other hazardous household waste;
and
2. The City Council appoints the City Manager as the agent of the City of Temple City to
conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to,
applications, agreements, amendments and payment requests.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED on his 7th day of D� ber 1993.

7th day of December 1993, by the following vote:
