RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REJECTION OF BID -2001
EMERGENCY SEWER REPAIR CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret; (the "Borough") solicited bids for the
2001 annual emergency sewer repair contract; and
WHEREAS, on July 31, 2001, one (1) bid for said contract was received from
B&W Construction in the amount of $135,527.80; and
WHEREAS, aforementioned sole bid was significantly higher than the
projected costs for the same and significantly above the funding available for
said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that the bid of
B&W Construction in the amount of $135,527.80 for the 2001 emergency sewer
repair contract is hereby rejected.
Adopted this 16th day of August, 2001 and
certified as a true copy of the original on
August 17th, 2001.
