MEDINA CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 16, 2011
The City Council of Medina, Minnesota met in special session on November 16, 2011 at
7:30 a.m. at the Hamel Community Building, 3200 Mill Drive, Medina, MN.
I. Call to Order
Members present: Crosby, Siitari, Pederson, Weir
Members absent: Martinson
Also present: City Administrator Scott Johnson, Public Works Superintendent
Steve Scherer, City Planner Dusty Finke, Police Chief Ed Belland, and Assistant to City
Administrator Jodi Gallup.
IL 2011 Fall Business Forum
Mayor Crosby and City Administrator Scott Johnson gave a presentation to Medina
businesses regarding the 2012 budget, 2012 capital improvement plan, city mill rate
comparisons, city infrastructure planning, environmental mandates, and ordinance
review.
Businesses were given the opportunity to ask questions and network. Feedback was
received that one business forum a year would be sufficient. Businesses would like
agendas for the forum sent out a head of time. Staff will work on compiling a list of
businesses' email addresses to better communicate.
III. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 a.m.
