McCall City Council
Special Call Meeting
Monday, January 22, 1996
1. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Killen at 11:30 A.M. Messrs. Killen, Colton, and
Martens answered the roll call. The mayor declared that a quorum was present. Mr. Eckhardt
arrived at 11:45 A.M. Staff members present were City Manager Gary Shimun, City Attorney
Ted Burton, and City Clerk -Treasurer Jim Henderson.
2. Lease Extension, Sports Marina. The council reviewed a letter from Sports Marina, Inc.
requesting to extend their lease beyond the 2004 expiration date. The matter was ordered to the
agenda of the January 25, 1996 regular meeting.
3. Financing Proposal -Golf Irrigation System. Mr. Henderson gave a report detailing the proposal
and requesting approval, in concept of the proposal which provided for $50,000 per year terms
until the existing revenue bonds fully matured then $100,000 terms thereafter. Mr. Colton
moved to approve the proposal in concept. Mr. Martens seconded and the motion carried
unanimously.
4. City Attorney Evaluation. Mr. Killen noted that a written evaluation had been provided by Ms.
Arp. Mr. Martens reported on his discussions with the Police and Fire Chiefs. Mr. Colton
reported on discussions with court personnel. Mr. Eckhardt reported on discussions with
Planning and Zoning personnel and Mr. Killen reported on discussions with administrative staff.
The council then conduct the evaluation using the standard evaluation form, each member
providing comments for each evaluation area. Staff was directed to provide a compiled
evaluation report for the next meeting.
5. Without further business, Mr. Colton moved to adjourn. Mr. Eckhardt seconded and the motion
carried unanimously. The council adjourned at 1:10 P.M.
