Special Meeting
Wednesday, September 4, 1996
1. The mayor called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon. Messrs. Eckhardt, Martens,
Colton and Killen answered the roll call. A quorum was present. Staff members
present were City Manager Gary Shimun, City Clerk -Treasurer Jim Henderson and
Golf Superintendent Mike Combs.
2. Mr. Henderson present the result of a bid opening on the Golf Course Irrigation
project. Bids were opened on August 30, 1996. Four bids were received. The
lowest responsive bid was received from Turf Sprinkler Co. of Sandy, Utah at
$574,950 for the base bid and $18,140 for the Weather Station. Staff
recommended that both the base bid and the weather station bid be awarded to
Turf Sprinkler Co. for a total of $593,090.00. After discussion, Mr. Martens
moved to award the contract as recommended. Mr. Eckhardt seconded. At a roll
call vote Messrs. Martens, Eckhardt, Colton and Killen voted "aye." The motion
carried.
3. Mr. Shimun requested permission to be absent from the September 12, 1996
meeting. The council by consenses agreed.
4. Without further business, Mr. Colton moved to adjourn. Mr. Killen seconded and
the motion carried unanimously. The council adjourned at 12:20 P.M.
