McCall City Council
Special Meeting
Tuesday, February 4, 1997
1. Call to Order and Roll Call. The mayor called the meeting to order at 5:10 P.M.
Ms. Arp and Messrs. Martens, Colton and Killen answered the roll call. A
quorum was present. Staff members present were City Manager Gary Shimun,
City Attorney Ted Burton and City Clerk -Treasurer Jim Henderson.
2. Payment of Workers Compensation Premium. Mr. Henderson gave a report and
requested authority to issue a hand check. Mr. Killen moved to approve the
issuance of a hand check to pay the 1997 Workers Compensation Premium. Ms.
Arp seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
3. Evaluation of City Attorney The council discussed their evaluation in according
to the standard evaluation form. Each council member gave numerical and verbal
ratings. Council then directed staff to prepare a compilation of their evaluation
for the next regular meeting. After discussion, Mr. Killen proposed that the city
prepare a Request for Proposals for legal services and solicit proposals to see if
contracting part or all of the services might be a more effective use of resources.
Mr. Killen then offered to prepare a draft of such a request.
4. Reschedulink of First February Rekular Council Meetink Mr. Shimun pointed
out that the Association of Idaho Cities was conducting a Lobby Day to provide
contact with legislators on February 13th the normal date of the first regular
meeting in February. After discussion, the council by consensus agreed to
reschedule that meeting to Wednesday, February 12th.
5. Adjournment Without further business, Mr. Colton moved to adjourn.
Martens seconded and the motion carried. The council adjourned at 6:55 P.
