Special Meeting of the McCall City Council —Friday, August 8, 1997
Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Killen at 9:00 A.M. Messrs. Colton, Martens
and Killen answered the roll call. Mr. Eckhardt and Ms. Arp were absent. A quorum was
present.
Airport Improvement Project - Report of Bids Received
Chuck Sundby of Toothman-Orton Engineers gave report to the effect that Roberson
Construction had presented the lowest bid for schedule A and Suebert Construction the
lowest bid for Schedules B, C, and D. Roberson had qualified as a Disadvantaged
Business Enterprise and therefore was a responsive bidder. The Suebert Bid was over
the budget and that discussions had indicated there was room for negotiation. Mr. Sundby
recommended award to Roberson for Schedule A and that all bids on the remaining
schedules be rejected and that negotiations be continued. Mr. Killen moved to adopt the
recommendation. Mr. Martens seconded. At a roll call vote Mr. Killen, Mr. Martens and
Ms. Arp voted "aye." The motion carried.
Fiscal Year 1997-98 Budget Discussion
The council discussed the Preliminary Budget including the changes made since the last
meeting. After discussion, Mr. Killen moved to adopt the preliminary financial plan for the
fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997 in the total amount of $10,405,480 and to set a
public hearing on the budget at 7:00 P.M., August 21, 1997 in the City Council Chambers.
Ms. Arp seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Adjournment
Without further business, Mr. Colton moved to adjoum. Mr. Killen seconded and the
motion carried unanimously. The council adjourned at 3:45 P.M.
