Executive Session Minutes
October 2,2002
Present: Chair Mace Terry, Secretary Leslie Hanson, Tim Trigg, and Putnam
County Library member Margot Payne.
Absent: Vice Chair Becky Harlan
Also Present: Police Chief Jim Hendrich,Banner Graphic Editor Eric Bernsee, Park
Maintenance Supervisor David Bault, &Parks&Recreation Director Rod
Weinschenk
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by M. Terry at 7:00 p.m.
2. Approval of Minutes
The minutes from the regular meeting held Wednesday, September 4, 2002, were
approved on a motion from T.Trigg, seconded by L.Hanson. All Ayes.
3. Monthly Finances
a. Transfer of Funds- The board approved a transfer of funds within the 2002 parks
&recreation budget as presented by R.Weinschenk on a motion from L.Hanson,
seconded by T.Trigg. All Ayes.
b. Approval of Monthly Claims& Invoices—The board approved the monthly
claims and invoices as presented by R.Weinschenk on a motion from L.Hanson,
seconded by T.Trigg. All Ayes.
4. Emerald Palace Security Discussion
R.Weinschenk made an inquiry to Chief of Police Jim Hendrich in regards to the
necessity for increased security measures at Robe-Ann Park. J.Hendrich replied that a
security problem at Robe-Ann Park and specifically at the Emerald Palace did not
exist,however he did suggest placing another light fixture behind the Emerald Palace.
5. Adjournment Due to Lack of Quorum
At this point Secretary Leslie Hanson had to leave the meeting due to a personal
emergency u e to the lack of a quorum,the meeting was adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
