MINUTES
Call To Order
The special meeting of the McCall City Council was called to order by Mayor Eimers at
2:05 p.m. Mr. Colton, Mr. Eimers, Mr. Muller and Mr. Venable answered roll call. Ms.
Arp was absent. A quorum was present. City staff present were Acting City Manager
Carla Donica and City Clerk Cherry Woodbury. Present was City Attorney Susan
Buxton.
Business
Susan Buxton briefed the Council on legal service status. She presented a draft of
items being handled by Moore & McFadden. Ms. Buxton felt that many of the items
could be resolved in 6 — 8 weeks. She reviewed the process that worked well where
staff did the major portion of the work on an item and then submitted it to her for review
and editing.
An issues list was compiled with input from the Department Heads. This City Attorney
Action Update List will be included under the report section of the Council packets.
Ms. Buxton stressed the importance of contract / agreement legal review.
Mr. Colton reminded Council that all applications for City Manager are available for
review. The goal is to have a compiled rating sheet for review by the February 11tn
Council meeting.
Executive Session
Mr. Muller moved to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters pursuant to
Idaho Code 67-2345(b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to
hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or
individual agent. Mr. Eimers seconded. At a roll call vote Mr. Muller, Mr. Eimers, Mr.
Venable and Mr. Colton voted "aye". The motion carried.
Mr. Colton moved to come out of Executive Session. Mr. Muller seconded and the
motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Colton moved to direct the City Attorney to continue negotiations with Brian Olson.
Mr. Muller seconded and the motion carried unanimously.

Adjournment
Without further business, Mr. Muller moved to adjourn. Mr. Eimers seconded and the
motion carried unanimously. The Council adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
