A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO TRANSFER GENERAL FUNDS TO CLOSE
THE FISCAL YEAR 2008-09 DEFICITS IN THE TRAFFIC SAFETY, LANDSCAPE
MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT AND STREET LIGHTING ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT FUNDS
WHEREAS, in the past the Traffic Safety, Landscape Maintenance Assessment
District and Street Lighting Assessment District funds relied heavily on the support of
General Funds to cover deficits; and
WHEREAS, during preparation of the FY 2008-2009 proposed budget, subsidies
to these funds from the General Fund were eliminated: and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety, Landscape Maintenance Assessment District and
Street Lighting Assessment District Funds are currently in deficit; and
WHEREAS, an additional $1.14 million from the General Fund is needed to close
the current year deficits.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to make the
following appropriation and transfer:
TRANSFER FROM AMOUNT TRANSFER TO AMOUNT
General Fund $1.14 million Traffic Safet Fund $472,300
Landscape Maint. $524,658
Street Li hting Fund $142,566
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of June 2009.
