New Town Hall Art Exhibit Features Watercolors and Mixed
Media by Abigail Ryan
An open house will be held on Friday, June 3 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Leesburg, VA (June 2, 2022) – The Leesburg Commission on
Public Art (COPA) is pleased to announce a new art display
currently available for viewing on the first floor of Leesburg
Town Hall (25 West Market Street).
A Touch of Whimsy features approximately 30 pieces of
artwork created by local resident Abigail Ryan. Vibrant
colored horses, fairies, foxes, birds, and wild animals are
depicted. The artwork consists of watercolors and mixed
media using brush pens and blocks of dry ink, which help with the vivid colors.
“I never get tired of watching the pigment take on a life of its own when it touches water,”
Ryan said.
The public is invited to meet the artist during an open house on Friday, June 3 from 6 to 7 p.m.
The exhibit will run through August 2022. For more information, visit
www.theravenslanding.com.
The first floor lobby and hallway of the Leesburg Town Hall features rotating exhibits by
Leesburg and Loudoun artists. Those interested in having their work considered for a future
exhibit should contact Leah Kosin, staff liaison to the Commission on Public Art, at
lkosin@leesburgva.gov.
