Exhibit from Goose Creek Ruggers on Display at Thomas Balch
Library
Leesburg, VA (July 11, 2022) – A new exhibit, “Hooked Rugs:
Traditional and Contemporary,” from the Goose Creek Ruggers is
on display at Thomas Balch Library from July through September in
the lower level meeting room.
The rugs on exhibit are made with wool, yarn, silk, roving, and
even plastic bags. The rug motifs illustrate holidays, history,
landscapes, and lots of flowers. The Goose Creek Ruggers are a
Waterford, Virginia based chapter of the Association of Traditional
Hooking Artists.
The exhibit is viewable during the library’s summer operating
hours. For the remainder of the summer, the library closes at 5
p.m. on Thursdays and is closed on Sundays. For more information,
