AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Transportation has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to assist with infrastructure improvements along N.W. 5th Street; and
WHEREAS, a local match in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-two Thousand Seven Dollars ($1,222,007.00) is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Department of Transportation to assist with infrastructure improvements along N.W. 5th Street.
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Four Hundred Eighty-eight Thousand Twenty-seven Dollars ($448,027.00).
Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated for assistance with infrastructure improvements along N.W. 5th Street.
Passed and adopted this 17th day of December, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
