New Right Turn Lane at Battlefield Parkway and Evergreen
Mill Road Will Be Open By Friday, August 25, 2017
Leesburg, VA (August 23, 2017) – The new dedicated right turn lane from westbound
Battlefield Parkway onto northbound Evergreen Mill Road will open to traffic not later than the
morning of Friday, August 25, 2017. Depending on weather conditions, the turn lane may be
opened as early as Thursday afternoon. Drivers are cautioned to be aware of the new traffic
pattern at this intersection, particularly during the morning and afternoon rush hours.
The right turn lane was constructed as part of the extension of Battlefield Parkway from
Evergreen Mill Road to South King Street. The new section of Battlefield Parkway is expected to
be completed in spring 2018. For more information about the project, please visit the Town
