Discover Art in Downtown Leesburg at 6th Annual Fine Art
Festival September 23 and 24, 2017
Leesburg, VA (August 25, 2017) – The Friends of Leesburg Public Arts are sponsoring the 6th
annual Leesburg Fine Art Festival in downtown Leesburg, on S aturday and Sunday, September
23 and 24, 2016. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will support the Friends of
Leesburg Public Arts.
Coordinated by Paragon Art Events, the art festival offers an opportunity to explore the
creativity and diversity of styles in the creations of painters, jewelers, sculptors, digital artisans,
photographers, mixed-media and fiber artists. Visitors can select from handmade artwork in
glass, ceramics, metalwork and woodworking; interact with the artisans and learn how the
pieces were created. The art festival will showcase nationally and internationally acclaimed arts
from more than 20 states and overseas. Each piece of art in the festival will be an original

During the festival, the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts will offer hands-on children’s art
activities at their booth on King Street.
Admission to the Leesburg Fine Art Festival is free. Hours are 10 :00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both
days. There will be street closures in downtown Leesburg for this event. King Street from
Cornwall Street to Loudoun Street and Market Street from Church Street to Wirt Street will be
closed, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 22. Streets should reopen at
approximately 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24.
The Friend of Leesburg Public Arts’ mission is to provide funding and support for public a rt and
arts-related programs within the Town of Leesburg. In addition to hosting the annual art
festival, they are currently raising funds for a mural on the Loudoun Street side of the Town Hall
Parking Garage, Sculpture Garden in Raflo Park, and other art projects in Leesburg. For more
