Scouting in Watertown has been active for over 100 years.
It is with great honor and pride to recognize Micheal McNamara from Troop 30
Watertown, for achieving Scouting's highest Rank of Eagle Scout.
As was pointed out on the news today: the first women achieved this highest honor in our
neighboring town of Cambridge; it was also mentioned that only 6% of Scouts achieve this
highest rank.
There are many notable and famous people who have achieved this honor, and I am
honored to have Michael recognized for his work and effort, and I'm happy to have been
part of the journey.
Scouting is active and thriving in Watertown. There are great opportunities available to
boys and girls, starting in kindergarten through high school.
The program opens so many doors for our youth.
