CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Mayor Colton called the special meeting of the McCall City Council to order at 1:05 pm.
Ms. Arp, Mr. Muller, Mr. Colton, Mr. Eimers, and Mr. Kaiser answered roll call. A
quorum was present. City staff members present were City Manager Robert Strope
and Finance Director/City Clerk Cathleen Koch.
BUSINESS
City Council Work Session to Adopt Tentative Budget
Ms. Koch made a presentation on the overall budget prepared for Council in order to
adopt the tentative budget. Department heads answered any questions Council
Members asked about their particular department's budget. Council discussed the
amount to be adopted for the tentative budget. Ms. Arp said she wants the maximum
flexibility in the budget. Mr. Eimers said that it is irresponsible to ask the people to
increase taxes in this environment. Mr. Colton said he disagrees completely. He
pointed out that the City asks the public to come and comment on the budget.
Ms. Arp moved to adopt the tentative budget of $11,737,452, set the public
hearing for August 8, 2002, set the date for the budget to be adopted on August
22, 2002. Mr. Kaiser, Ms. Arp and Mr. Colton voted aye. Mr. Muller and Mr.
Eimers voted no. The motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Without further business, Mr. Colton moved to adjourn. Ms. Arp seconded the
motion. All Council Members voted aye. The motion carried. The Council
adjourned at 4:10pm.
