Wednesday, October 5, 2022

ATTENDEES:
Committee members present: Laura Ward, Erin Wiseman, Jack Deeken, Ron Fitzwater, Jon Hensley (online)
Staff Present: Gail Strope, Steve Crowell, Ryan Moehlman, Eric Wilde
Others Present: Carrie Tergin, Mike Lester
Meeting came to order at 7:30 a.m. by Councilmember Erin Wiseman. August 3, 2022 minutes were approved
with a motion by Councilmember Laura Ward, and seconded by Councilmember Ron Fitzwater. The motion
passed unanimously.
Negotiator Supervisor: Presented by Eric Wilde. An incentive for SWAT Commander was implemented in 2018
at a 4% salary addition, but other positions such as the Negotiator Supervisor were not included. Chief Wilde
recommends repealing the SWAT Commander incentive and allowing the Union to negotiate it and other
positions with the next contract. A motion was made Councilmember Erin Wiseman and seconded by
Councilmember Laura Wiseman to move to the full council. The motion passed unanimously.
Appointments: Presented by Gail Strope. The committee made two new appointments. A motion to approve was
made by Councilmember Laura Ward and seconded by Councilmember Jack Deeken. The motion passed
unanimously.

The next scheduled meeting will be held at 7:30 a.m. November 2, 2022 in the Boon Bancroft room at City
Hall.
There being no further business, Councilmember Ron Fitzwater made the motion to adjourn which was
seconded by Councilmember Laura Ward. The motion passed unanimously ending the meeting at 7:39 a.m.
