BUSINESS AGENDA
AB 04-171 Canvassing of Local Option Tax Election Results/Resolution 04-16
Dan Irwin, City Clerk, presented the results of the November 2, 2004 Special Election
for the Local Option Tax measure. A total of 1429 votes were cast in the McCall
Precinct, with 1102 ballots in favor of the measure and 327 against. The vote tally in
favor of the measure exceeds the 60 percent majority approval of voters required under
Idaho Code to pass the measure; therefore the Local Option Tax is allowed to be
implemented by the City.
Council Member Greer moved to proclaim the election results final and adopt
Resolution No. 04-16. Council Member Bertram seconded the motion. In a roll
call vote, Mayor Eimers, Council Member Greer, and Council Member Bertram
voted aye. The motion carried.

REPORTS
Lindley Kirkpatrick, City Manager, stated that since there is only one regular City
Council meeting in November and December, staff has historically paid for ordinary bills
when they are due to avoid being assessed with late fees and Council has ratified
payment on the Warrant Register at the next meeting. Mr. Kirkpatrick stated that
unless the Council had any objections this procedure would be followed again this year.
There were no objections by the Council Members.
ADJOURNMENT
Without further business, Mayor Eimers moved to adjourn. Council Member
Greer seconded the motion. All Council Members voted aye. The motion carried.
The Council adjourned at 12:40 p.m.
