AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($8,500.00) FRCH THE GNMM FMM CASE OPERATING TO POLICE

WHMUSs a request has been made bey the Police Department to transfer
the as of $8,500.00 from the General Fund Cash Operating to Police
Department Budget A000unt No. General L-29.(7-72-722) Motor Equipment,
"Properties".
WMEAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, after careful study and consideration on the 29th day of
January, 1970, approved that an ordinance be prepared for Common Council's
consideration to make the above transfer. of funds, and
iiIMM, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the
adopti,cu of the existing annual budget so that it is how necessary to
appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government
than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THE{tE ME, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
SECTfDff 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its insti-
tatlons for the year sanding December 31s 1970s the following money is
hereby appropriated and net apart out of the fund named for the purpose
specified. Said sum being subject to all lawn governing the same.
Such ammount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures
authorised to be made daring the year, unless expressly stipulated by
lama.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from
the General Fund Cash Operating to meet time extraordinary emergency de-
clared to exist.

now have mob]igated balances which will not be used for the purpose
appropriated.
IT IS TiE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indians that such unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced in
amount as followsr and the same is appropriated to the above named item.

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the,above appropriation.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of
the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. �1 ,
