AMENDMENT TO PUBLIC LIBRARY SERVICES INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
This Amendment is made and entered into this 2nd day of April
20 19 by and between Okaloosa County and the municipalities of Crestview, Destin, Fort Walton
Beach, Mary Esther, Niceville, and Valparaiso, and amends C19-2757-LIB hereinafter the ("Agreement").
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, on April 2 , 2019 . Okaloosa County and the municipalities of
Crestview, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Mary Esther, Niceville, and Valparaiso entered into C19-2757-LIB,
which provides for a countywide agreement to provide public library services without charge in Okaloosa
County; and
WHEREAS, the parties now desire to amend the Agreement to provide an updated and accurate
accounting of funds provided by Okaloosa County for the operation of the Library Cooperative.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants herein and other good and valuable
consideration, the parties hereby agree to amendment the Agreement as follows:
1. Section 17 is hereby amended to read as follows (t-Fik�gh is deletion and the underlined
language is new language):
APPROPRIATION AND ALLOCATION OF OKALOOSA COUNTY FUNDS: The County shall provide
r'n� $706,848 for the period beginning October 1, 2018 and ending September 30, 2019.
The amount to be provided by the County will be determined by the approved county budget
with the basic agreement being revised by amendment accordingly. The Cooperative's
Governing Board shall disburse funds received by the County's allocation as follows:
a) $205,219 $207,376 of the monies allocated by the County shall be used for administrative
operations and cooperative -level purchasing for members.
2. All other provisions of the MOU shall remain in full force and effect through the duration of the
renewal.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this amendment as of the day and year
first written.
