Leesburg Economic Development Steering Committee Hosting
Public Forum on September 14, 2017
Public invited to provide views on Town’s economic future.
Leesburg, VA (September 5, 2017) – The Leesburg Economic Development Steering Committee
invites the public to give their views on Leesburg’s economic future at a forum on September
14, 2017. The forum will be held at the Mason Enterprise Center (202 Church St SE, Leesburg)
beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The committee is scheduled to make recommendations to the Town Council in early November
and will incorporate the public comment and feedback received at the September 14 forum
into those recommendations.
The Leesburg Economic Development Committee was formed by the Town Council to provide
recommendations on future economic development within the Town. The committee has been
meeting regularly since May and has conducted a number of panel discussions with various
segments of the economic community.
The recommendations from the Committee will be presented to the Town Council in November
2017. The Council ultimately will consider the recommendations for inclusion into Chapter 8 of
the Leesburg Town Plan, which addresses economic development.
