ORDINANCE NOS 2458-1970
AN ORDINACE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF TEES `THOUSAND DOLLARS
($10,000.00) FROM MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY CASH OPERATING FUND
TO MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY S_27 (3-3 P OTHER SUPPLIES, "SUPPLIES7.
WHEREAS,request has been made by the Motor' Vehicle Highway
Departmenk of Richmond, Indiana, to transfer the sum of
$10,000.00 from the Motor Vehicle Highway Cash Operating Fund
to Motor Vehicle Highway 5-27 (3G37) Other Supplies, ('Supplies%
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Wo.7-ks and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, after carful study and consideaation on the
5th of Maech, 1970, approved that an ordinance be prepared for,
Common Council.°s consideration to make the above transfer,of
funds, and
WHEREAS, �er°tain .extraocdinaay emergencies have developed since
the adoption of the existing annual budget so that ,it is now
necessary,to appropriate more money for the various functions
of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual
budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of Richmond,
Indiana.
SECTION.1 That for the expense of the Ciity Government and its
institutions for the year ending December 31, 1970, the following
money is 9ereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named
for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws
governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to
include all expenditures authorized to be made during the yeas,
unless exr,ressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2;, That for the fiscal period there is hereby appro•-
priated from the Motor Vehicle Highway Cash Operating to meet
the extr'ac:rdinary emergency declared to exist f

SECTION 34 WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing
appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be
used for the purpose appropriated.„
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond,jndiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriations
be now re�uced in amount as follows: and the same is appropriated
to the above named item,

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above
appropriation.
SECTION 5This ordinance shall be in full foc°ce and effect
from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is
subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency
appropriations,
