HomeMy Public PortalAboutCouncil Minutes 2006 09/07 SpecialMINUTES McCall City Council Special Meeting September 7, 2006 Agenda Call to Order and Roll Call Executive Session Work Session Adjournment CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Mayor Robertson called the meeting to order at 4:18 p.m. Council Member Don Bailey, Council Member Bonnie Bertram, Council Member Mike Kraemer, Mayor Bill Robertson, and Council Member Laura Scott answered roll call; Mayor Robertson declared a quorum was present. Lindley Kirkpatrick, City Manager, was present. EXECUTIVE HEARING At 4:19 p.m., Mayor Robertson moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code §67-2345(1f) Litigation. Council Member Kraemer seconded the motion. In a roll call vote, all members voted aye and the motion carried. WORK SESSION The Council returned to business at 5:50 p.m. Mayor Robertson called for a short recess. The Council reconvened at 6:00 p.m. The Council met jointly with the Airport Master Plan Planning Advisory Committee (PAC). Those present were Tim Callister and Eric Carsen from atte,,d� -4unt (M&H), Chuck Sunby, and Kevin Bisrell from Toorkrrtan- (TO). Or+o n Tim Callister and members of the M&H/TO team introduced the Airport Master Plan process and reviewed the status of the Airport Master Plan. Mr. Callister and Mr. Carlsen reviewed six display boards with information about elements of the Airport Master Plan. The Council and members of the public reviewed the information and display boards in an open house format. McCall City Council Special Meeting September 7, 2006 1 of 2 There was much discussion of having an additional public hearing at this stage. Ideas on implementing an informational campaign regarding options 2A and 3 were discussed, including a public meeting to explain and inform, and then meeting with Council to present the results. Mr. Carsen summarized the discussion and said that there will be a newspaper article regarding any decisions. He said that a first meeting should be a public meeting, tied into the Comprehensive Plan, using a Power Point presentation to summarize the issues. He asked if Council wanted to preserve the option for commercial air service. He said the second meeting would be for the Council to decide to which layout to pursue. Mayor Robertson asked how many acres were included in this project. Council directed staff to develop the scope and timeline for the Airport Master Plan and to report back Council with their findings. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. William A.
