A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
A CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,150 TO THE STREET
DESIGN CONTRACT WITH APA ENGINEERING, INC. FOR THE DESIGN OF A NEW
WATER MAIN ON HARRIS AVENUE, ALVADA STREET, AND WALDORF DRIVE
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER
WHEREAS, on February 17, 2009, the City Council awarded a contract to APA
Engineering, Inc. for the design of Olanda Street (from Carlin Avenue to Wright Road),
Harris Avenue (from Alvada Street to Cul-de-Sac), Alvada Street (from Harris Avenue to
Waldorf Drive) and Waldorf Drive (from Alvada Street to Carlin Avenue) Street
Improvement Project, Project Numbers 4011.67.965 and 4011.67.986; and
WHEREAS, the Water Master Plan prepared in 2005 recommends the
replacement and upgrading of the 6" water main on said portions of Harris Avenue,
Alvada Street, and Waldorf Drive ; and
WHEREAS, APA Engineering, Inc. is proposing a fee of $8,150 for the design
and preparation of contract documents for said water main; and
WHEREAS, staff found that the proposed fee is reasonable and can be paid with
funds available from Project 4011.67.950.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council of the City of Lynwood approves a
Contract Change Order in the amount of $8,150 for the design contract for the Olanda
Street (from Carlin Avenue to Wright Road), Harris Avenue (from Alvada Street to Cul-
de-Sac), Alvada Street (from Harris Avenue to Waldorf Drive) and Waldorf Drive (from
Alvada Street to Carlin Avenue) Street Improvement Project, Project Numbers
4011.67.965 and 4011.67.986 with APA Engineering, Inc. for the design of a new water
main on said portions of Harris Avenue, Alvada Street, and Waldorf Drive.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute said contract change order.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of June, 2009.
