A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE CITY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN AND
SETTING THE SALARY FOR THE APPOINTED OFFICER
Whereas, the City Clerk's position for the City of Tiffin is currently open due to the
resignation of the City's previous City Clerk; and,
Whereas, the City Council has the responsibility to appoint the position of City Clerk;
and,
Whereas, the City Administrator has performed the necessary process and
deliberations to make a recommendation to the City Council for such appointment; and,
Whereas, the City Administrator would like to recommend the promotion of the Deputy
City Clerk, Abigail Hora, to the position,
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa appoints
Abigail Hora to the position of City Clerk effective August 21, 2019, at a pay level of
$24.00 per hours.
On this 20th day of August 2019, at a regular meeting of Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Upton introduced RESOLUTION 2019-097, A RESOLUTION
APPOINTING THE CITY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN AND SETTING THE
SALARY FOR THE APPOINTED OFFICER and made a motion for approval. The
motion was seconded by Councilperson Ryan.
Ayes: Havens, Bartels, Upton, Ryan, Schnedler
Nays: None
Absent: None
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2019-097, A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE
CITY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN AND SETTING THE SALARY FOR THE
APPOINTED OFFICER to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing
his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 20th day of August, 2019.
