RESOLUTION NO. 2019-028
A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATES FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST, OPENING OF
BIDS AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICES FOR THE 2019 PARK ROAD
PAVING PROJECT
Whereas, Hart-Frederick Consultants PC, has prepared the Plans, Specifications and
Contract Documents for the construction of the 2019 Park Road Paving Project;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa:
1. The date for the opening and public reading of bids for the Project is set for
April 11, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. and,
2. The date for the Public Hearing of the Project is set for April 16, 2019, at
7:00 p.m. and,
1 T'he date for consideration of bids for the Project by the Cty Coun6l is set at April
16, 2019, at 7.-()0 P.M. and wid be acted upon at such time and place or at such
finis; and place as may than be set,
4. That the City Council hereby directs the City Clerk t o have published the Notice
of I fearing of the Contra(.-.t Documents for the Project in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City, which publication shall be made at least once, riot less than
four(4) an(] not more than twenty (20) days prior to the date of the said hearing.
5. That the City Council hereby directs the City Clerk to have published the Notice
to Bidders of the bid letting for the Project by posting at least once, not less than
thirteen (113) and not more than forty-five (45) days prior to the date set for receipt
of bids, in each of the following three places: (i) in a relevant contractor plan room
service with statewide circulation; (ii) in a relevant construction lead generating
service with statewide circulation; and (iii) on an internet site sponsored by either
the City or a statewide association that represents the City.
On the 191" day of March, 2019, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Schnedler introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2019-028, A RESOLUTION
SETTING THE DATES FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST, OPENING OF
BIDS AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICES FOR THE 2019 PARK ROAD
PAVING PROJECT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson
Havens.
Ayes, Havens, Upton:, Schnedler, Bartels.
Nays: None.
Absent: Ryan.

Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2019-028, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATES

CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST, OPENING OF BIDS AND AUTHORIZING

adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
