CALL. TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Mayor Bailey called the special meeting of the McCall City Council to order at 6:00 p.m.
Mayor Bailey, Council Member Delaney, Council Member Kulesza, Council Member Scott,
and Council Member Witte answered roll call.
City staff present was Lindley Kirkpatrick, City Manager; Michelle Groenevelt, Community
Development Director; Carol Coyle, Grant Coordinator;
GENERAL WORK SESSION
Economic Development Strategy & Funding
Mayor Bailey discussed Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis.
The Council questioned whether John Blaye, Valley County Economic Development Director,
was allowed to keep the product of his work.
There was discussion regarding incentives and redevelopment possibilities at the storage units on
Blackhawk.
Council worked with various local and county organizations on economic development for
McCall. A table showing rankings of economic development endeavors was presented and
discussed. It was agreed that a committee should be formed within the next four to six weeks,
which will meet regularly and frequently.
