AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2245 - 1967
APPROVING AND CONFIRMING AN AMENDMENT TO THAT
CERTAIN FRANCHISE AGREEMENT GRANTING THE NON-
EXCLUSIVE RIGHT, PRIVILEGE AND AUTHORITY TO COPi-
STRUCT, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE A COMMUNITY ANTENNA
TELEVISION SYSTEM, IN THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of February, 1967, the Common Council
of the City of Richmond, Indiana, passed and adopted Ordinance Number 2245-
1967 approving and confirming a franchise agreement granting Clearview Cable
of Richmond, Inc., an Indiana corporation, the non-exclusive right, privilege
and authority to construct, maintair and operate a community antenna tele-
vision system in the City of Richmond, Indiana; and
WHEREAS, the vo f:Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana has I certain agreement which is an amendment
to the original franchise agreement dated December 28, 1966, and a copy of
which said amendment to said original franchise agreement is attached hereto,
made a part hereof and marked "EXHIBIT A"; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, that said amendment to the original franchise agree-
ment granted Clearview Cable of Richmond, Inc. be confirmed and approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana:
That the amendment to tlhe original franchise agreement entered
into by and bet«een the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, and Clearview Cable of Richmond, Inc. which has here-
tofore been referred to as "EXHIBIT A", be and the same is hereby expressly
confirmed and approved, and the Board of Public Works and Safety is author-
ized to execute said amendment to the franchise agreement by and on behalf
of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, this day of 1970.
