RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING BEACON PLANNING AND
CONSULTING SERVICES TO PREPARE A REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR
THE FEDERAL BOULEVARD REDEVELOPMENT AREA
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 06-47, adopted on February 9, 2005, the
Borough ofCarteret (the "Borough") designated the Federal Boulevard Redevelopment
Area (FBRA) as an Area in Need of Redevelopment pursuant to the New Jersey Local
Redevelopment and Housing Law; and
WHEREAS, the Borough desires to proceed with the preparation and adoption of a
redevelopment plan for the FBRA; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available
for said purpose,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that Beacon Plarming and Consulting Services, LLC, is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare a redevelopment plan for the Federal Boulevard Redevelopment Area,
and at an initial cost not to exceed $2,500.00,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the award of a contract to Beacon Planning for
prof~ssional planning services to prepare the above-dèscribed redevelopment plan
represents an award of a professional services contract.
