Minutes – June 2, 2022
The meeting was called to order at 12:04 p.m.
Board Members Present
Kemp Shoun (Chair)
Bill Burton
Pete Fleischmann

Lt. Dave Williams
New Business
Lt. Stiefermann gave an overview of the current hiring status.
There are 13 openings for police officer. There were roughly 25 applicants with 8 people appearing for
the testing and 7 passing the written.
There are six communications openings with 10 applicants. Two applicants responded to testing and
two oral boards are being conducted. There is one additional applicant for an oral board next week.
Approval of Minutes for May 4, 2022 Meeting
Bill Burton made a motion to accept the minutes which was 2nd by Stephanie Scruggs. The motion
passed.
Closed Session
There was a motion to go into closed session by Bill Burton. There was a second by Pete Fleischmann.
During the roll call vote all members, Shoun, Scruggs, Burton, and Fleischmann all voted in favor.
Open Session
There was a motion to return to open session by Pete Fleischmann with a second by Stephanie Scruggs.
During the roll call all members, Shoun, Scruggs, Burton, and Fleischmann voted in favor.
Adjourn
There was a motion by Stephanie Scruggs to adjourn with a second by Pete Fleischmann. The motion
passed at 12:22 p.m.
