Meeting came to order at 7:31 a.m. by Councilmember Erin Wiseman. October 2, 2022 minutes were approved
with a motion by Councilmember Ron Fitzwater, and seconded by Councilmember Laura Ward. The motion
passed unanimously.
Parks & Recreation Reclassification: Presented by Todd Spalding. Director Spalding is requesting to reclassify
the Golf Course Superintendent position to a Parks Resources Supervisor and the Mechanic position to a
Construction Inspector position. A motion was made by Councilmember Laura Ward and seconded by
Councilmember Ron Fitzwater. The motion passed unanimously.
Police Reclassification Presented by Eric Wilde. Chief Wilde is requesting to reclassify the open Administrative
Technician to a Police Info Clerk to help alleviate the work load. A motion was by made Councilmember Ron
Fitzwater seconded by Councilmember Laura Ward to move to the full council. The motion passed unanimously.
Tuition Reimbursement Program: Presented by Steven Crowell. A suggestion was made to allow the City to
make direct payments to student loan providers, instead of requiring the employee to pay the loan, then be
reimbursed by the City. A motion was made by Councilmember Ron Fitzwater and seconded by Laura Ward to
move to the full council. The motion passed unanimously.
Appointments: Presented by Gail Strope. The committee made eight new appointments. A motion to approve
was made by Councilmember Laura Ward and seconded by Councilmember Ron Fitzwater. The motion passed
unanimously.
