RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, NEW JERSEY
APPROVING THE 2006-2007 CDBG PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Borough of Cafteret has been allocated $101,700.00 from the
Middlesex County Housing and Development Program for 2006-2007 CDBG year; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 to solicit
comments and recommendations from the residents of the Borough ofCarteret; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Board has had the opportunity to discuss the
proposals WÌth the Mayor and Council and representatives to the Middlesex County
Housing and Community Development Program; and
WHEREAS, it is the consensus of the Community Development Board that the
following programs meet the guidelines of the Citizen's Participation List of Eligible
Activities:
First Aid Squad Equipment
Micro Loan Program
Housing/Commercial Building Rehabilitation
Kiddie Keep Well Camp
Senior Citizen Outreach Program
Senior Sidewalk/Handicap Curb Cut
Office of Emergency Management Equipment

$ 30,000.00

$ 23,000.00

\VHEREAS, the above programs were unanimously approved by the Community
Development Board at the Public Hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED Ihat the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret hereby consent to the submission of the above named proposals.
