ICALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Mayor Aymon called the regular meeting of the McCall City Council to order at 2:00 p.m.
Mayor Aymon, Councilor Giles, Councilor Swanson, and Councilor Witte (Via phone) all
answered roll call. Councilor Scott was absent
City staff members present were Gene Drabinski, City Manager; Bill Nichols, City Attorney;
Michelle Groenevelt, Community Development Director; Anne Kantola, Library Director;
Dennis Coyle, Parks and Recreation Director; David Simmonds, Information Systems Manager;
Eric McCormick, Golf Course Superintendent; and BessieJo Wagner, City Clerk.
WORK SESSION
AB 14-20 -2013 Annual Department Reports to Council:
Council Members have requested the opportunity to review and discuss operations, priorities,
and future activities for each Department in more detail. Staff prepared brief Annual Reports for
the following departments: the Library, Parks and Recreation, Golf Course, and Information
Systems. The Reports are intended to serve two purposes: provide background for the Council
and provide an overview of the Department for the public.
Anne Kantola, Library Director, presented and City Council discussed the Library Department's
Annual Department Report.
Dennis Coyle, Parks and Recreation Director, presented and City Council discussed his
department's annual report to Council.
David Simmonds, Information Systems Manager, presented and City Council discussed his
department's annual report to Council.
Councilor Witte left the meeting at 2:57 p.m. and rejoined the meeting in person at 3:10 p.m.
Eric McCormick, Golf Course Superintendent, presented and City Council discussed his
department's annual report to Council.

Commercial Bear-Proof Containers—Discussion with Lake Shore Disposal
Michelle Groenevelt, Community Development Director, gave a presentation regarding
commercial bear-proof containers in other communities compared to McCall. The presentation
also covered what the issue of the lids of the commercial dumpsters and posed the question as to
what should the City's role in solving the issue be.
Everette Arter, Lake Shore Disposal, updated the Council on the issues with commercial bear-
proof cans and how Lake Shore was mitigating the issues.
After much discussion there was general Council consensus that the issue would continue to be
mitigated by the City Manager and Everette Arter, Lake Shore Disposal and did not need any
Council action.
IADJOURNMENT I
Without further business,Mayor Aymon adjourned the meeting at 5:23 p.m.
