1. Call to Order and Introduction of Members, Ex-officio Members and Staff
Chairman Dale Vaughan called the meeting to order. Six regular members and one alternate were
present. A quorum was present.
Designation of Voting Alternates
The Vice Chair announced that all regular members present and alternate Ms. Gampher are eligible to
vote.
2. Procedural Matters and Procedures Explained
There were no cases to be presented, procedural matters and procedures were not explained.
3. Adoption of Agenda
Ms. Cotten moved and Mr. Butler seconded to adopt the agenda. The motion passed 6-0 with the
following votes:
Aye: Quigg, Deeken, Cotton, Record, Butler, and Gampher
Nay: None
4. Approval of the Regular Meeting Minutes of April, 8 2021.
Ms. Cotten moved and Ms. Quigg seconded to approve the regular meeting minutes of April 8, 2021
as printed. The motion passed 6-0 with the following votes:
Aye: Quigg, Deeken, Cotton, Record, Butler, and Gampher
Nay: None
5. Communications Received
Communications packets were sent to Commission members prior to the meeting.
6. New Business/Public Hearings
No new business.
7. Other Business
Informational presentation of the Jefferson City Comprehensive Plan Update. Activate
Jefferson City 2040.
Ms. Nanoski presented the Commission with the Comprehensive Plan update. This informational
presentation and report prepares the Planning and Zoning Commission, acting as the steering
committee for the comprehensive plan update, to host a formal public hearing and vote on adoption of
Activate Jefferson City 2040.
Mr. Record moved and Ms. Cotton seconded to have staff put the Comprehensive plan up for public
hearing and up for formal adoption at the June meeting. The motion passed 6-0 with the following
votes:
Aye: Quigg, Deeken, Cotton, Record, Butler, and Gampher
Nay: None
Update on prior cases
Mr. Barron stated that the Ivy Terrace and Americare are both up form approval at the next City
Council meeting.
Meeting Calendar
Mr. Barron asked the Commission to move the date of the July meeting from July 8th to July 15th.
Ms. Cotton moved and Ms. Quigg seconded to move the July meeting date from July 8th to July 15th.
The motion passed 6-0 with the following votes:
Aye: Quigg, Deeken, Cotton, Record, Butler, and Gampher
Nay: None
Mr. Barron announced that Ms. Nanoski has accepted a new position in Kansas City.
8. Adjourn. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:03 p.m.
