RESOLUTION NO. 94 -3369
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITYAPPROVING THE EXPANDED NEGATIVE DECLARATION AND
UPHOLDING THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S DECISION TO
APPROVE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 93 -1187, A REQUEST BY
THE AIRTOUCH CELLULAR TO ALLOW THE INSTALLATION OF
A CELLULAR ANTENNA WHICH WILL BE ATTACHED TO A NEW
FOOTBALL FIELD LIGHTING STANDARD; ALSO PROPOSED IS AN
ACCESSORY BUILDING TO HOUSE CELLULAR EQUIPMENT ON
THE CAMPUS OF TEMPLE CITY HIGH SCHOOL LOCATED AT 9501
LEMON AVENUE IN THE SINGLE FAMILY (R -1) ZONE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. Based upon testimony received at noticed hearing before the City Council and upon
facts contained in the expanded negative declaration, as well as the staff report and testimony received
at a noticed public hearing before the Planning Commission and findings enumerated in the Planning
Commission Resolution, the City Council hereby approves the request, subject to the conditions contained
in the Planning Commission Resolution No. 93- 1718PC.
SECTION 2. An expanded Negative Declaration has been prepared for this project in accordance
with the State CEQA Guidelines which states that the project should not result in significant effects upon
the environment. The initial statement as prepared indicates there is no potential for adverse impact to
the environment generally and specifically as it relates to all wild Animals, birds, plants, fish, amphibians,
and related ecological communities, including the habitat upon which the wildlife depends for its continued
viability.
SECTION 3. Accordingly, Conditional Use Permit 93 -1187 is approved, subject to conditions
contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 93- 1718PC.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to passage and adoption of this resolution and enter
it into the book of original resolutions.
