Vote for Your Favorite Painted Snow Plow Blade in Leesburg’s
2017 “Paint the Plow” Contest
Friends of Leesburg Public Art will award $100 to the entry with the most votes.
Leesburg, VA (October 31, 2017) – Students from two Loudoun County Public Schools in
Leesburg decorated three snow plow blades for the 3rd annual “Paint the Plow” public art
project. The theme for this year is “The Wizard of Oz” and the three entries are:
The Emerald City, by C.S. Monroe Technology Center
Follow the Yellow Brick Road, by Smart's Mill Middle School
There’s No Place Like Home, by C.S. Monroe Technology Center
The painted snow plow blades will be featured in the Kiwanis Halloween Parade on Tuesday,
October 31, 2017, and the Christmas & Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
Members of the public can vote on their favorite design, through midnight on Saturday,
December 9. The Friends of Leesburg Public Art will present the winning school with a $100
prize.
