NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: " 1. The proposal from T&M Associates for professional engineering services related to the Waterfront Park Project I Phase II-B at a total cost not to exceed $17,50Ò.OO, bil1able in accordance with T & M Associates' existing contract with the Borough, is hereby approved. 2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal. 3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract. Reiman Borough of Carteret Municipal Building 61 Cooke Avenue Carteret, NJ 07008 / '100 ~'IZ SUJ·- Re: Waterfront Park Phase lIB Engineering Services Dear Mayor Reiman: The Borough's design consultant reports that they have reviewed NJDEP regulations regarding jurisdiction of this project and determined that as the project is located within the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) designated Coastal Zone, a NJDEP Coastal Zone General Permit (NJAC 7.1 - 7.17) will be necessary. Our services include preparation of supplemental plans in conformance with the NJDEP standards and an application for the above referenced Coastal General Permit. Permittin!! Services We will provide supplemental plans, reports and permit applications for the subject improvements for submission to NJDEP and Freehold Soil Conservation District (FSCD). Our scope of services includes the following tasks: · Review and comment on existing design plans and identify revisions as necessary to meet NJDEP standards for Coastal Zone Management. Signed and sealed design plans are to be provided by the Borough. · Preparation of an application to the NJDEP for Coastal General Permit #7.17. This includes forwarding a standard notification to the Borough Construction Officer, to the Middlesex County Planning Board, Environmental Commission and to adjoining property owners. Three complete application copies will also be forwarded to the Borongh Clerk. and per NJDEP rules, the Clerk will be requested to distribute copies to the Borongh Planning Board and Environmental Commission. The application is also to include a compliance statement to demonstrate how the project meets the applicable Coastal Permit Program Rules (NJAC 7:7-75). · Preparation of an application to the NJ Bureau of Tidelands for a conveyance.
