AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TIFFIN ZONING ORDINANCE
O. 2007-287 AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO ADDING
TAVERNS/BARS TO BUSINESS LIST AND AMENDING RESTAURANT
USES IN ALL COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS
BE IT ENACTED bythe City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa:
Section I. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Zoning
Ordinance No. 2007-287, Section 3, Commercial Districts, Table C, to allow the
permitted use of Taverns/bars and to amend characteristics of restaurants.
Section II. Amendment,. Section 3, Commercial Districts;the following
is added to TABLE C, SERVICE USES: (See table below)
Tavern/Bar, permitted use ,:'-11 C-2 l�f: 0'(',','1, .
Characteristics: Entertainment, dancing and servicing of
alcoholic beverages.
Restaurants,,permitted use 111 C-2 ( R L.-S
Establishment which provides food for on-premises
consumption
RETAIL BUSINESS LIST C-1B C-2B m C-10 C-20 C-1S
Taverns/bars; entertainment, dancing serving of P P P P P
alcoholic beverages
Restaurants- establishment which provides food i P P P P P
for on-premises consumption
Section III. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section IV. Severability If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance
shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section V. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect after its final
passage, approval, and posting as provided bylaw.
On the 16"x" day of February2016, at a regularmeeting of the Tiffin City,Council,
Tiffin, Iowa, Conncilperson .Ryan introduced Ordinance No. 2016-382, and moved
that it be given its first reading. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Kahler.

Berner declared the motion carried, and Ordinance No. 2016-382, was read the first
time, discussed, and placed. on record.
On. the 8th day of March 2016, at a regular meeting of theTiffin City Coun.cil, Tiffin,
Iowa, Cow-icilperson Ryan. introduced Ordinance NO, 2016-382, and in.oved that it be
given its second readin.g. The motion was seconded by Counc.ilpersonKahler.

Berner declared the motion carried, and Ord.inance .No. 2016-382, as .read the
second time and discussed. and. placed on record..
On the 22nd day of March 201.6, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin. City Q)uncil, Tiffin,
Iowa, CDmicAperson. Kahlerintroduced Ordinance .No. 2016-382, and moved thatit
be given its third and last reading. 11ae motion was seconded by Councilperson. Ryan.

Berner declared.the motion carried, arid the ordinance was passed and adopted.
Whereupon the Mayor declared that Ordinance No. 2016-382 be adopted and.
signified his approval of same by fixing his signature thereto. Passed bythe C"Omicil
on the 22" day of March 2016 and approved. by the Mayor on the 23' day of March
2016.

RESTAURANT USES IN ALL COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS and known as
No. 2016-382 was duly passed by the Council on the 22nd day of March 2016, and
signed by the Mayor on the 23m day of March 2016, and published on the 31S` day of
March 2016, by posting copies thereof in three public places within the limits of the
City of Tiffin, Iowa. That I posted copies of Ordinance No. 2016- 382 in the
