CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Mayor Aymon called the special meeting of the McCall City Council to order at 5:34 p.m. Mayor
Aymon, Council Member Giles, Council Member Nielsen, and Council Member Witte all answered
roll call.
City st, members present were Shay Tyler Deputy Clerk; Linda Stokes, City Treasurer, and Traci
Malvich, Human Resources anager
BUSINESS AGENDA
Vacant Council Seat Interviews for Appointment to Finish Term to Expire January 11, 2018
Due to the resi,ation of Co cil Member Laura Scott on Au st 10, 2017, the position was opened for
applicants. Three applications were received after it was publicized in Star News. The Council interviewed
the three possible candidates for the Council position to finish out the current year. Those candidates were
Mel. 'e Ho es, Robert Lyons, and Wayne March. Each candidate answered questions of the Co cil
and what they hoped to accomplish as a Co cil Member.
After some deliberation, the Co cil chose to appoint Mel % 'e Holmes to fill the vacant Council seat. Ms.
Holmes will be sworn in at the September 14, 2017 City Co cil Meeting.
Council Member Witte moved to appoint Melanie Holmes to vacated City Council position to fulfill
the role as Council Member until January 11, 2018. Council Member Giles seconded the motion. In
a roll call vote Council Member Witte, Council Member Giles, Mayor Aymon and Council Member
Nielsen all voted aye and the motion carried.
