Minutes of a Special Meeting
Monday, November 26, 2012
.^ Present: President Dr. John Hennette, Vice President Tim Trigg, Secretary Beva
Miller, Greencastle Community School Corporation liaison Wayne Lewis
Absent: Kyle Kerrigan, Putnam County Public Library liaison Wes Wilson, and
Greencastle City Council liaison Phyllis Rokicki
Also Present: Greencastle Youth Basketball Board President, Jim Pritchard, Assistant
Parks & Recreation Director Troy Scott and Parks & Recreation Director

Call to Order
The special meeting of the Board of Park Commissioners was called to order at 5:33 p.m.
by President John Hennette and held in the Greencastle City Hall council room.
Public Input-None
Greencastle Youth Basketball
Program Cancellation -After a presentation from Director R. Weinschenk and
Greencastle Youth Basketball Board President Jim Pritchard and following some
discussion, the board approved the recommendation to cancel and refund entry fees for
this year's Youth Basketball Program due to lack of registrations. It was noted that we
have had 14 successful years and that two years ago there were 273 participants in the
program, and this year we drew only 68 youth.
i.—. Approval of Special Claims—It should be noted that in preparation for the meeting,
Director R.Weinschenk has discussed the possibility with City Clerk Treasurer Lynda
Dunbar who has agreed on a special issuance of refund checks. (See attached list.)
Motion - On a motion from T.Trigg, second by B.Miller,the board approved the request
to cancel the program and to refund entry fees based on the attached list. All Ayes.
Next Meeting
Director R.Weinschenk reminded the board that our next regular meeting will be held on
Thursday, December 6, with judging of our holiday contests at 7:00 p.m., business meeting at
7:30 p.m.
Adjournment
On a motion from T.Trigg, second by B.Miller, the park board meeting was adjourned at
5:47 p.m. All Ayes.
