SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Mile High Marina's Lease will expire December 31, 2007. There are three issues that need to be resolved.
Does Council want to continue the lease with Mile High Marina or seek proposals and negotiate with other
potential lessees?
If Council decides to continue the lease with Mile High Marina the City can mutually agree to extend the
lease for an additional period of ten years. This lease is coincident with the Submerged Lands Lease from
the Idaho Department of Lands, who are willing to have a ten year lease.
Last, the rent for Mile High Marina is determined by a portion of the annual gross boat slip rental receipts
charged and collected by Lessee. The annual gross rent shall be determined by dividing the total gross
receipts for boat slip rental, divided by the number of boat slips, multiplied by 3. Is this feasible? I will
present some other ideas.
Attached is Resolution No. 05-05, which includes Mile High Marina's Lease with the City of McCall and the
Submerged Land Lease with the Department of Lands.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Provide guidance to staff. Ask staff to proceed with a resolution.
