SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Area Chamber of Commerce has submitted an application to obtain a permit for
conducting a fireworks display in connection with Winter Carnival 2007. The dates of the display
will be Friday, January 26, 2007 and Saturday, January 27, 2007. The Chamber has executed
an agreement with FIREWORKS & STAGE FX AMERICA, INC. dba FIREWORKS AMERICA for
conducting the display over Payette Lake. Fire Chief Dave Sparks reviewed the proposal from
FIREWORKS & STAGE FX AMERICA, INC. dba FIREWORKS AMERICA with the Chamber of
Commerce and has recommended approval for the permit. Police Chief Jerry Summers has also
reviewed the Chamber's application and recommends approval. FIREWORKS & STAGE FX
AMERICA, INC. dba FIREWORKS AMERICA provided the City with a certificate of insurance
evidencing liability coverage for personal injury and property damage in the amount of
$1,000,000 and naming the City as an additional insured.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the fireworks display permit for the McCall Area Chamber of Commerce Winter
Carnival 2007 and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
